He had lived in Lee County, Va., most of his life. A retired bank auditor, he was also a master woodworker, a World War II Army veteran, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bailey Minks; daughter, Janis Skidmore; brother, Edward Minks. Surviving family members have been omitted for privacy.
