Smith Stapleton, who survives in Gas City. The couple had been married for 20 years. . .His son James D. Stapleton survives in Marion. Two daughters survive, Brenda (Stephen) Fields lives in Marion and Karen (Bill) Creech is from Indianapolis. His stepdaughter Sheriene Knox resides in Muncie and his stepson Perry (Julie) Knox is from Anderson. Six grandchildren survive. . ."
