Surviving are his wife Thelma Oliver McDowell of Columbus, 3 sons Richard Jr. & Ronald D of Columbus, Robert D of Worthington. A sister Jean McDowell of Portsmouth & 4 grandchildren. Service is to be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home with Rev. Evan D. Fisher officiating & interment in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday at the funeral home.
