Burial will be in Memorial BurialPark. Mr. McDowell died at 10:05 a.m. Friday in Portsmouth General Hospital following a long illness. A native & life-long resident of Portsmouth, he was born March 14, 1881, a son of Isaac & Mary Henderson McDowell. He was a painter & was a member of the local painters union. Surviving is his wife Tora, 2 children Richard & Jean. A brother Dan of Mt. Joy. A sister Mrs. Marian Sprouse of Michigan & 3 grandchildren Richard, Robert & Ronald. Friends may view the body at the residence.
