She then entered the military as part of the Army Nursing Corp. and served at the Department of Defense School System, serving the military bases in Germany.
She was a long- standing member and financial officer of the American Legion, Post 16 in Walsenburg, Colorado. She was the OB nurse and midwife in Huerfano County, and delivered numerous babies over a 14-year span of time. She also became the Director of Nursing at the Huerfano County Hospital. Later in 1984, she certified as a general certified appraiser and Real Estate Broker to accompany her husband John Stroh with his company, Southern Colorado Land and Livestock.
Faye dedicated her life to service, with her primary concern for military service members and later to mothers-to-be and most of all to her family.
Faye was preceded in death by her father William Sherman Marsee, mother Lucretia Arlene Marsee, brother Cletus Marsee, and sister Kaye Clutter. She is survived by her husband John Carlton Stroh II, and their six children: Andrea Lewis, John Carlton Stroh III, Heidi Rodriquez, Laura Stitt, Katie Sporcich, and Sarah Prystupa.
