The son of Dr. James and Elizabeth McFadden Hale, he was born March 2, 1895, in Laurel County. He was married in 1920 to the former Mary Muncy, who survives. He was a veteran of WWI. Mr. Hale leaves besides his wife, three daughters and five sons: Mrs. Velma Helensky, Cleveland, OH; Mrs. Doris Jones, Advance, IN; Mrs. Theda Hatcher, Route 6 London; Tilmon H ale, Valley Station; George Hale, Lexington, IN; Eugene Hale, East Chicago, IN; Dennis Hale, Louisville; and Albert Hale, Lida. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Susie Burkhart, Route 4 London; and two brothers, Balton Hale, Lawton, OK; and J.R. Hale, London; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the House Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Denvis Rush. Burial was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery rest in peace
