  	David Ray Bledsoe, 88, of Jonesville, VA passed away on Saturday, October 22, at his home. A native of Lee County, VA, he was born August 5, 1928 to the late Clyde Bledsoe Sr. and Lara Sprinkle Bledsoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Leytze, one brother and two sisters. Ray began working early in life as a projectionist in the Jonesville Theatre, where he met the love of his life, Louise. He then went to work at Jonesville Drug, which he eventually purchased and operated for a number of years. In the early 60’s, he purchased Lee Ford Tractor which he ran until selling the business in the late 70’s. He then operated the Sunny Acres Bowling Alley before becoming a butcher at West Town Market. He also ran a newspaper delivery route for the Kingsport Times News before he finally retired. Ray was also a 64 year mason and was a past Master of the Preston Lodge #47 in Jonesville. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Louise Bledsoe; two sons, Ray Bledsoe and wife Brenda, and Mike Bledsoe and wife Tammy; one son-in-law, David Leytze; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a slew of other beloved family and friends.
