  	William Ford, 45 year old, an Illinois railroad blacksmith died at 6:15 o'clock Thursday evening of concussion of the brain at his home. Born Harlan Co. KY. Survived by wife Mrs. Susie Ford and an 18 month old son, Chester. Two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Hale and Mrs. Bell Athington; Two brothers George Ford and Sam Ford. William Ford was struck in the head from behind with a pipe or large stick, by an unknown assailant as he walked home from work not far from his home. He was taken into Walker's Drug store and later removed to his home where he died. (Son for M. W. Ford and Mollie Coffman)
