  	GEORGE RAY, 74, DIES At HOME OF DAUGHTER George Ray, 74, Route 1, Ashland, died at 9:55 last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Osha Boggs, 2332 Greenup Avenue,following an illness of six weeks. A resident of Ashland for the past 35 years, Mr. Ray was born in Carter County, Ky., April 6, 1874, a son of Lark and Polly Ann Newman Ray. The body is at the John Steen Funeral Home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. tomorrow. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Surviving are the daughter; one son, Walter Ray, Jackson, Mich., one brother Henry Ray, Van Lear, Ky., two sisters, Mrs. Hettie Hignite, Hitchens, Ky., and MRs. Kate Friend, Wheelersburg, O., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
