  	The Rev. Roy Norie Jr., 74, died Sunday, July 19, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Hearron, pastor of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Denison, Texas, Michael Norie and the Rev. Thurman Murphy, pastor of First Freewill Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park. The Rev. Norie was born July 24, 1923, in Denison. He and Juanita Plunkett were married Aug. 10, 1942, in San Diego, Calif. He was the pastor of New Salem Freewill Baptist Church in Decatur, Texas, and was a former pastor of First Freewill Baptist Church in Bowie, Texas. He was also the former pastor of churches in Oklahoma and California. He was a member of the Texas Mission Board for 20 years. He served in the Navy during World War II as an aviation machinist mate. He had lived in Wichita Falls since 1978. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael of Burleson, Texas, and David of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
