He was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church and was owner and operator of Harvey's Dry Cleaning and Laundry, was a past president of Tri-State laundry and Dry Cleaners Association, also a member of Williamson Road Kiwanis Club, a member of and past chaplain of Roanoke Lodge #197, BPOE. he was a member of Williamson Road Lodge #163 A.F. the Scottish Rite Bodies, and Kazim Temple Shrine. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Cronise Suiter; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ronald D. and Kathy Suiter, Burlington, Vt.; one daughter and son-in-law, Angelita S. and Dr. Milton N. Kabler of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Cynthia and Stephen Kabler, Scott and Brian Suiter; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian S. Brown and Mrs. Garnett S. Garst, both of Salem. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 13, with the Rev. George H. Gravitt officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthur Cooley Memorial Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 5066, Roanoke, Va. A memorial service by Williamson Road Lodge #163 will be held at Oakey's North Chapel 8:00 p.m. Friday.
