  	Independence, MO — Olive Dixie Ridings, 86, Independence, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Olive was born October 2, 1923 in Fonde, KY the daughter of Julius and Sallie (Welch) Mace, the eighth of twelve children. She married Andrew Ridings in 1942. They moved to Independence in 1961. She had worked for Knoepkers Department Store. Olive was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years; six sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Pat Reeve and her husband Dave; grandsons, Steve Reeve and Mike Reeve and his wife Cindy; great grandsons, Brandan Reeve; Joey Reeve-Barker, and Troy Ingraessia; sisters, Jean Bradford; June Teeter all of Independence and Betty McDonald of Punta Gorda, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
