Sasser, 58y ears old, who died at 5 o'clock Friday at the Lawean General Hospital in Madison, Tenn, were held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at Blackwate r with the Rev. J.C. Baird officiating. Interment was in the Pilgrims Rest cemetery at Blackwater by the House Funeral Home. A native of Kno x County, Mr. Sasser was born Aug. 14, 1887, the son of William andLou ise Sasser. Retired from the U.S. Army, Mr. Sasser was superintendent of the National Cemetery in Madison. He served in the Philippine insur rection, with the American Expeditionary Army forces in 1914 and with the Occupational Army in Germany in World War I. He retired from the a rmy in 1932. Mr. Sasser was married Feb. 22, 1915 to Miss Nannie Hale at Blackwater, who survives him. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Nanni e Steward, London Route 1 and one brother J.M. Sasser, Tulelake, CA.
