Claude Vernon Hale Farmer Claude Vernon Hale, 85, of Hopper Creek Road, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, September 2, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London. Born November 8, 1915, he was a retired farmer and member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rebecca (Higgins) Hale and Sid Hale; and his wife, Otie (Smith) Hale. Survivors include two daughters, Pansy Williams and Rebecca Williams, both of London, Ky.; a son, Charles Hale of Carmi, Illinois; a sister, Geneva Looney of New Miami, Ohio; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 4, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denvis Rush officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Cemetery at London.
