  	Frances and her husband Charles both died due to the great Flu Pandemic, leaving their children as orphans. (My Great-Grandma who was her eldest daughter, told me endless stories about her parents. She loved them very much.) Frances was a member of the Daughters of America. The organization took care of her funeral and placed the youngest children in the Tippin Children's Orphanage (Tiffin?) where they were cared for and were taught trades.

• Notes

  Frances married her husband in her mothers home and both Frances and Charles died at home. She died of the flu and Charles died of locked bowels, although many of the children believed he actually died from a ruptured appendix. Both are buried in the McEldowny Cemetery in Lewis Co., Kentucky. They had 8 children. Denver and Dallas are both buried beside Frances and Charles.
