  Patricia Hale Liford is the daughter of Charlie Levi Hale and Mary Tuttle. The great granddaughter of William Evan Tuttle and Doxie Chadwell, (sister of Lucy Chadwell Sasser), and James M. Hale and Nancy J. Williams. She is descended from John Henry Sasser through his daughter Nancy Sasser Williams. Patty was involved in at boating accident on Laurel Lake. She fell overboard and her body was never recovered. She has been missing since 1976, declared dead in 1982. She left two children; Regina Beth Liford and Dennis Liford. The circumstances of her death are considered somewhat of a mystery to her family. The full details of the accident have never been disclosed by the other people on the boat, in fact the investigation of the whole matter were hushed up. If anyone has any information on her death, it would be a comfort to her children and siblings. Her daughter, "Gina" was visiting me just two weeks ago, here in northern Indiana. She is currently a student at the University of Kentucky. She will be a dentist. She graduated from Union College last year in Barbourville, after being elected Homecoming Queen. She is both beautiful and intelligent, having won numerous beauty and talent contests, and graduated both high school and college with honors. She and her brother were raised by her Aunt Joyce "Joy" Hale Hill, her father, Dennis Liford, Sr., but primarily by her second cousin Hayden Watkins (great grandson of Nancy Sasser Williams) and his wife Regina, whom Regina (Gina) was named. Hayden and Regina live at the "Old Sasser Place," the old homestead of James M. Sasser and Minnie M. Humfleet in Tuttle, LCK. Dennis Liford is married, has no children and lives with is wife in Corbin. Her sister Joy Hale Hill and brother Coleman Hale live in the Tuttle community, LCK.
