He was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of Marlock Corporation. He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Daisy Carter; brother, John Carter; brother-in-law, Audy Keck. Survivors: sons, Greg (Tammy) Carter; Ricky (Lisa) Carter; one grandson, Cody Carter; brothers, Jim (Nancy) Carter, Tony (Fran) Carter; sister, Barbara Keck; sister-in-law, Madalene Carter. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 with funeral service to follow at 7 P.M. Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jerry Peck officiating with music by Baylen Savage. Interment 11 A.M. Thursday, January 16, 2020, Taylor’s Grove Church Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home to go in the funeral procession. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
